dispatch #12: portland, oregon

well, the freighter pulled out of NY harbor bound for Le Havre the other day. i was not aboard.

looks like europe & the travelling life is still a few years out of reach.

we figure the boy will get more out of the experience when he is a couple of years older (more like sunshine's age now), & her even more so. right now, he is still too mommy-dependent to make life on the run much fun for her (the mom).

meanwhile, the trick is to do something with the dough so it is still around & available in 3 or so years. & keep the kids from strangling each other.

so again, i am apartment hunting. & learning that 11 years of owning have made me a difficult (& slightly frustrated) renter. stupid landlords & their penchant for posted [& bizarre] rules (photo above).
